1972 FORD MUSTANG COBRA JET MACH 1 WITH THE ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET AND A FOLDER FULL OF DOCUMENTATION!

Here it is, a fully restored and full numbers matching 1972 "Q" Code Mach 1 LOADED with options and backed by a horde of horse power!

 

Options: 351 CJ, Mach 1 Sports Interior, Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels, AM 8 Track, C6 Transmission, Traction Lok Differential, NOX Emission System, Center Console, GT Ram Air Hood, Power Brakes, Power Steering.

Body: The body on this car appears to have never been tampered with. We know that this car has spent the majority of its life as a California car so it is to be expected. The floor pans and trunk are completely solid and are original. As you can see when the restore began, the previous owner had the intentions of bringing it back to its original state. The bright red paint shines up extremely nice and I would rate it a solid 8.5 out of 10. All of the panels line up very nicely and the doors as well as the trunk open and shut with ease. All of the chrome and weather stripping have been replaced and are in excellent condition. The glass all the way around the car is also in great shape with no pitting nor cracks.

Interior: The interior as you can see is also in fantastic shape and was also completely redone. Everything, from the carpet to the headliner has been completely redone. There is no cracks or tears anywhere within the interior. All of the gauges are in good working order. The car even retains its original 8 track but it is not hooked up to the speakers. However, when you insert an 8 track in to it you can hear it click on but I am not sure if it puts out any sound. The reason for this is because the previous owner had installed a hide away CD player in the glove box and hooked up a more modern sound system in the car. I would rate the interior a solid 9 out of 10.

Engine: The engine is definitely the most fascinating part of this vehicle. With a ton of torque and a lot of horse power, you are sure to draw attention no matter where you are at. The car just has a tremendous sound and feel to it. I drove this car approximately three miles and it just soars. The alignment is completely straight and the brakes work perfectly with no pulling or play. The motor in this car is the original 351 Cobra Jet 4V and was completely redone less then a year ago. It does not smoke, leak, or make any strange noises. It is extremely reliable and works out perfectly. The C6 transmission was also redone and we have receipts documenting this. The transmission runs out flawlessly with no slips or strange noises. Both the motor and transmission have less then 500 miles on both. The car has power disc brakes and power steering. The car also has a brand new Ram Air setup which you will be able to see located below.

I can say from first hand experience that this car is extremely fun to drive and would make an awesome piece for any collector. It is getting harder and harder to find Mach's and to find one of this caliber with this many options as well as documentation is just a rarity in its own.
