Located below is our "Buy it Now" price which is usually
the reserve price or is fairly close. If you would like to purchase this car
prior to the auction ending then please feel free to contact me to discuss
terms and offers. As soon as a price is agreed upon I can have it added to the
auction through the "Buy it Now" option.
What we have up for auction is a
very beautiful, very straight, and extremely dependable 1971 Mustang
REAL Mach 1. This car took a little over a year to restore and was
finished in June of 2006, just in time for the "HOT ROD POWER TOUR"!
Now's the perfect time to pick up a one of a kind vehicle and to be the
envy of the neighborhood.
Mechanical:
The motor is very strong and a very well maintained 302 out of a 1995
Mustang GT. It has been completely rebuilt and updated. When the
car was taken on the Hot Rod Power Tour the car did not burn any oil and
the car drove flawlessly from Kansas City, Mo. to the suburbs of
Orlando, Fl. then all the way to New Jersey and back to Kansas City, Mo.
Not a single problem the entire time! The motor was a roller and was
rebuilt with copper head gaskets and a 512 roller Cam. The motor also
has ARP head bolts. The transmission also came from the same 1995
Mustang GT and was completely redone as well. It is a center force
clutch with the clutch cable. On the Power Tour the car was driven
approximately 3600 miles and got around 21 MPG the entire trip. The
motor and transmission have less then 4k miles on them today. The car
does have power steering and power disc brakes all the way around (all
four). The car also has a 355 9 inch Posi track rear end. The car also
has dual Flowmasters which are also fairly new and were put on around
May/June of 2006. The car also has new sub frame connectors. This car
could drive clear across the country and would have zero problems!
Body:
The body on this car is very solid and straight. It is an all original
sheet metal car with the exception of the hood. The car did have a
blower on it during the Power Tour so the original hood was modified but
the car does have a brand new OEM hood on it today. The paint on the car
is less then a year old. The paint I would give it an 8 out of 10 over
all. As you can see in the photos the undercarriage and trunk are in
good shape. The torque boxes are in excellent condition. The only
problematic area we have found was the trunk which was repaired at some
point. The rims on the car are 20x8 on the rear and the front are 17x8's
which give it a very mean look. They along with the tires were brand new
and put on just before the car left on the tour. I would say the tread
is about 75 to 80%.
Interior:
The interior is all completely new. The day I took these photos
(10/14/2006) the interior was not cleaned up at all so you are seeing it
at its worst. The dash pad, door panels, both front seats and rear, as
well as the carpet were replaced. The only thing that was not finished
but is being taken care of as you are watching this auction is the head
liner. It is being replaced and will be done prior to the auction
ending. All of the electronics work on the car with the exception of two
things which are the dash lights and the heater core. The heater core
was unhooked for the tour and the dash lights were unable to be hooked
up as the car has a newer updated dash in it with the tachometer. The
original dash will be going with the car and from what I am told if it
were reinstalled the dash lights would be fine or if you were to
purchase an adapter you could hook them back up with the current dash.
The windshield wiper blades, the turn signals, the head lights, tail
lights, every other piece of electrical equipment works in the car.
This car may end up in Hot Rod
Magazine as they did take a ton of shots of the car so keep an eye out!
You definitely wont find another real Mach 1 that is in this kind of
shape for the kind of money we are asking. The photos really do not do
the car any kind of justice. If you would like to fly in and check it
out or even drive it home just give me a call. I strongly encourage
anyone who is interested to come see the car for themselves. As always do not hesitate to call me with
any questions or concerns you might have.
Thanks,

Spotting Fraud: On a
few occasions overseas scam artists have used our images and descriptions to
attempt to pass our cars off as their own and dupe buyers into sending deposits.
Usually these deals are too good to be true, and for good reason. Scammers will
typically not be able to answer questions about the car, have a very low "buy it
now" price and will ask for a deposit. Once you send the
deposit they are never heard from again. If you spot one of our
vehicles or any other vehicle for sale with suspicious terms DO NOT
send the alleged seller money and please notify us immediately. We
will contact eBay security about any fraud we see, whether for our
cars or others.
