AUTHENTIC 1969 X77 Z28! Every square inch is brand new!
Hands down this is the nicest
Z28 I have ever come across. I have sold many Camaro's and several Z28's
over the years but none of them have ever been restored as meticulously as
this one. The entire car was completely disassembled, rotisseried and everything
redone with brand new parts. It has been professionally restored back to its original
condition and everything matches with the exception of the motor and
transmission (both are correct). It has been a year and a half since the restoration began
and it was fully completed on 11/20/2006. Every square inch of this car
is brand new.
Mechanical:
The motor is a strong and correct DZ302
(Block #3956618 & Intake # 3932472) which is backed by a brand new
Muncie 4 speed. Both the motor and transmission work flawlessly, just
pure dependable power. The dual exhaust was just installed and it really compliments the sound of the motor very nicely.
The car also comes equipped with power disc brakes and power steering.
All of which work perfectly. The car also has a fresh 12 bolt rear end. The electrical components are all in
perfect working order as would be expected with any automobile of this
caliber. The car has a Cowl Induction hood and we have all of the
components but they are not installed. We will try having this completed
before the car is shipped. If it is not completed prior to the car being
shipped then we will send all the components with the car. They are
brand new and still in the box.
Body:
The body on this car was extremely solid to begin with. So as you can
imagine not a whole lot of body work was needed when the restoration
began. The body is 100% rust free and you will find absolutely no filler
in the car. It has been professionally painted back to its original
paint scheme (Dover white) and I would rate the paint work on a scale of
1 to 10 probably right at a 9.5. All of the trim and weather-stripping
through out the car is brand new. All of the chrome and glass are in
excellent condition and need absolutely nothing.
Interior:
The interior was restored back to original with the black Deluxe package
and is in excellent shape. Every single piece of it was taken out of the
car and either refinished or replaced. From the carpet to the headliner
it is all new. All of the weather stripping is brand new through out the
entire car. The windows roll up and down with ease and again all of
the electronics as well as gauges are in good mechanical order.
Most people would agree that the
first generation Z28 is one of the most desirable and sought after
vehicles on the planet. To find one of this quality makes it just that
much rarer. On top of being one of the most sought after vehicles is the
fact that the original Z28's are still going up. I STRONGLY encourage anyone who is interested to come out
and take a look at it. You just wont find another 69 X77 Z28 that has
undergone this kind of meticulous restoration. All of the photos located
below should be able to tell the story much better then I have. As
