1968 REAL RT CHARGER! FULLY RESTORED AND COMPLETED JUST THIS WEEK! LOADED WITH TONS OF NEW PARTS, AC, A FRESH 440 WITH A FULLY REBUILT 727! The entire car has been completely gone through, from top to bottom and will definitely please any Mopar enthusiast.

     What we have is a 1968 Dodge Charger that comes with its original fender tag. This car was completely redone back to its factory correct specifications per the fender tag. It is an original red on black car with a black vinyl top. Located below you will find well over one hundred photos of the car. From the day we obtained it to how it is today. It took just over a year for this car to be completed and it really turned out to be one of the greatest projects that we ever took on. This car, as you will see below, was fairly solid to begin with which made the project that much more appealing to take on. All of the photos from the top down until the first bit of text you run in to were taken on 9-8-2008. We still have some small odd's and ends to tidy up but the car will be completely finished and detailed before the end of this week. The only things left to do is the exhaust system is being installed on 9-9-2008 which will consist of a whole new setup with chrome tips. The AC hoses still need to be  installed and the steering wheel swapped out. Again, these are all things that will be completed before the end of this auction. The reason we are listing it this early is because we have our eyes set on obtaining another Charger which we are extremely excited about.

Body: The body on this Charger is now completely rust free and as straight as an arrow. The only sheet metal that needed replaced on this Charger was the trunk pan, rear inner wheel wells, and bottom quarter skins. These components have been replaced with brand new sheet metal and they were taken off and installed professionally at a shop here in the Kansas City area. The paint scheme on this car was done in a base coat clear coat and looks absolutely gorgeous. It has been done back to its factory correct specifications. The vinyl top on this car is also brand new and was installed professionally by an upholstery shop here in the Kansas City area. All of the glass and trim are in excellent shape with no major pitting or scratches. We had the original trim sent off and completely refurbished. The bumpers are also brand new and in excellent shape. The entire grille was also sent off and completely refurbished. It too is in excellent shape. The head lights open and shut like the day this Charger rolled off of the assembly line. All of the fuel lines, transmission lines, everything is completely new and are stainless steel. The entire suspension setup is new and is also in excellent condition. The Charger also has a brand new set of disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear. All of the emblems through out the Charger are also brand new and came from Year One.

Engine & Mechanical: The 440 within this Charger is not the numbers matching motor. It is an early 70's 440 that has been completely gone through and has little to no miles on it. It does not leak, smoke, use an excessive amount of fluids, or make any odd noises. It was professionally rebuilt and is in excellent working order. The 727 has also been completely rebuilt and is also in excellent working order. It too has little to no miles on it. Both have approximately ten miles on each as they were both rebuilt specifically for this Charger. All of the electrical components are also new and in excellent working order. Everything is in good working order. The dash has been completely refurbished as you will see below and is in excellent condition. The 8 3/4 rear end has been completely rebuilt and it is geared at 323 and is a posi. The Charger also has a brand new engine harness, tail light harness, and dash harness. The gas tank and sending unit are also brand new. The aluminum radiator is also brand new. The Edelbrock 650 Carburetor is also brand new and has an electric choke.

Interior: The interior as you will see below, has been completely redone. From top to bottom, it is all new. Brand new sill plates, emblems, head liner, seats, door panels, package tray, everything is all new. The dash has been completely gone through and is in excellent condition. We have a brand new wood grain steering wheel which will be installed before the auction is up.

     Here is an excellent opportunity for any Mopar enthusiast. These 68's are a rare breed and for what we are asking, there is still a ton of room left for someone to get in and be safely invested. You definitely could not come close to having a car of this caliber built for what we are asking let alone be able to find a real Rally Red 68 RT. Again, the only reason we are selling it so quickly at this price is because we have a very rare opportunity to pick up another Charger that is even rarer than this one. We also have two other 68's and a 69 that we will let go of or if you would like to have them built, we can have that arranged. I will gladly listen to all reasonable offers and should the right one come along then I will in fact sell the car early as we do have it for sale "locally".
