1965 Mustang Convertible! Original California car! Fully restored and ready to cruise!

     Up on the block we have a very clean, fully restored "C" code 1965 Mustang Convertible. The car was fully restored nearly two years ago and has been garaged ever since. In fact, the car has less then 500 miles on it since the restoration was completed. The Mustang has spent the majority of its life in California which is where the restoration was done. It has only spent the last year and a half here in the Kansas City area. Every single thing was redone, from the suspension, to the motor, transmission, the body, paint, interior, every little thing has been replaced or redone back to new condition. This is by far one of the cleanest as well straightest Mustang Convertibles I have ever come across. You could not come close to having this car built for what we are asking. So do not let this opportunity pass you by!

Body: Over all this car was extremely solid at the time of the restoration. Since it was completed it has not seen rain. The only sheet metal that had to be replaced through out the entire car were the rear quarters. The trunk, floor pans, doors, the under side, everything is solid and rust free. The paint on the car was done professionally and is of excellent quality. I would rate it a solid 9/10. There is no bubbling anywhere through out the car. The chrome around the car also was redone at the time of the restoration and shines up nicely. There are no major blemishes or scratches through out any of the trim or chrome. The weather stripping through out the entire car was also replaced and is all brand new. The top on the car was also replaced and is brand new. The top is a power top. All of the glass is in excellent condition and is all original. There is no major pitting or scratches through out any of the glass. The windows roll up and down with ease and the top powers up and down perfectly and seals up with zero problems. The under side of the car, as you will see located below is covered in cob webs but it is extremely solid and has zero problems. The shock towers are also solid and appear to be original.

Interior: As you will see within the photos, the interior was done back to the original black Pony setup. The interior was completely redone. From the carpet to the power top. It is all brand new and in excellent shape. As you can see it is in need of a good cleaning from sitting so long but there are no major blemishes anywhere through out the interior. The only non-original component is the center rest between the seats but it does provide quite a bit of comfort. All of the electrical components are also in good working order and need nothing. This is one of the only Mustang Convertibles I have found that also have the door lights which are also in good working order.

Mechanical: The engine from what we have gathered is not the original 289 but it is correct. It was rebuilt at the time of restoration and is in strong working order. It does not smoke, leak, or make any kind of odd noises. It is in top mechanical order. We do believe it was rebuilt with a performance cam as the car does have more power then you're typical 289 Mustang. The transmission was also rebuilt at the time of restoration and is completely dependable. It too does not leak or make any odd noises and it shifts out with zero problems. The power steering is also in good mechanical order and was replaced at the time of restoration. The car has been aligned and drives down the road with zero problems. The suspension was also updated at the time of the restoration.

     So if you are looking for an awesome first generation Mustang Convertible then do not hesitate to call with any questions. You just can't go wrong with these Mustangs. I will gladly listen to all reasonable offers and should the right one come along then I will in fact sell the car early as we do have it for sale "locally".
