     If you're wanting an awesome and mean sounding toy to cruise this Summer, then I'd suggest coming out and having a look at our Montego. It is very solid, original, and complete. She is completely turn key and a true blast to drive. These Montegos are already extremely difficult to find but to find another Cobra Jet four speed car, what are the chances?

Engine & Mechanical: This Montego does retain its original numbers matching CJ 351 Cleveland as well as its original four speed transmission. It is completely turn key and runs out with no problems. The motor does not smoke or make any odd noises and the transmission shifts through all of its gears smoothly. The power steering and power brake setup is also in excellent working order. The Montego does not pull, shake, or shimmy when stopping and the power steering does not whine or have any mechanical issues. The AC does not work and will need some work.

Body: The body on this Montego is very solid. The trunk, floors, frame rails, rockers, hood, fenders, rear sill, roof, even the quarters, they are all very solid. We actually purchased this Montego from the second owners whom which informed us that the Montego has never received any considerable amount of rust repair due to the fact it has rarely seen the outdoors and has never really had the chance to rust. From evaluating the body, it does seem to retain all of its factory sheet metal. The Montego does have all of its original chrome which is in good shape. As you will notice, the Montego has been through one repaint which as you can see was done professionally and shines out very nicely.

Interior: The interior within the Montego is in great shape. It is all factory correct with the exception of the seats. The seats themselves are original but the seat covers that were used are not. That is about the only thing that is not factory correct on the whole car. All of the windows roll up and down with no problems. All of the weather stripping is in great shape. The door panels are also in great shape, both front and back. The bucket seats as well as the back seat are in good shape with no major blemishes, tears, or stains. The dash is also in great shape as is the gauge cluster. The headliner, carpet, and center console are all in great shape.

     If you were able to find another GT Cobra Jet four speed Montego, it would easily cost you 30k+ to get it to where ours sits today. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the rarest and highly collectible Mercurys on the planet. I will gladly listen to all reasonable offers and should the right one come along then I will in fact sell the car early as we do have it for sale "locally". I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need.
