     Not often do you find Packards but to find an original 1955 Convertible with this color combination, you might have a better chance of getting hit by lightning or winning the lottery. This is one of 500 Convertibles produced in 1955 and the only one we know of that exists with these options and color combination. This awesome Packard has won the World of Wheels show two years straight. Placing first at both shows then placing second at the Detroit Autorama show! It is truly a sight to see and actually feel as it rolls on by. It has all the luxuries it was built with and drives like a brand new Cadillac. It just soars down the highway with ease. This Packard has also been owned by the same family since 1962 and has always been garaged and well maintained. It was fully restored in 2000 by the current owner. Every nut and bolt had been gone through. The previous owners which were the second owners, they had owned it since 1962 and then passed it along to their son (the current owner) in the late 80's. It has been driven less than one thousand miles since being restored in 2000 and the odometer currently reads 88k which is the original mileage to this Packard. We actually pulled it out of the garage today which is the first time since 2007.

Body: The body on this Packard is lazer straight and retains most all of its original sheet metal. It has never been wrecked nor seen rain. The only sheet metal that has been replaced was the passenger side door which took place when the second owners purchased it in 1962. Other then that, it is an all original sheet metal car with no rust. It is 100% rust free and in excellent shape. The paint combination as you will see is original to this Packard and it is a base coat, clear coat, PPG. I would rate it a solid nine and a half out of ten. All of the chrome through out the car has been replaced or refurbished. There is no scratches, dents, or major blemishes through out any of the chrome around the car. The bumpers have both been rechromed and are in excellent condition. The emblems in 2000 were all fully redone in the correct color setup (gold) and are in excellent shape. The convertible top is also new and in excellent condition as is the boot. The power antenna setup has also been completely refurbished and was done correctly. They both work flawlessly and stand out about a mile away from the car it seems like which gives it that real 50's feel. It looks absolutely fantastic! The glass through out the car is all original and is showing some age in certain areas but it is all still in tact. The rear window on the convertible top has been replaced and is in excellent shape. It is that hard plastic which is original per this car. The car also sits on the original 52 Spoke Packard Wheels which also includes a spare within the trunk. The Packard sits on a new set of three inch white wall tires which are in excellent shape.

Interior: The interior as you will see is completely redone back to its factory specific colors. It is also redone in REAL LEATHER which gives off an awesome feel. It is extremely comfortable and smells like a brand new car. It has a brand new dash pad, carpet, door panels, trunk mat, floor mats, all of the interior is new from top to bottom! All of the lights and gauges are in good working order and have been gone through. The entire instrument cluster has been completely refurbished and is in excellent condition. The power window setup has been completely gone through and works with ease. All windows roll up and down with zero problems. The motors are not sluggish and work just as good if not better then the day it rolled off of the assembly line. One very rare and awesome option this Packard has is the fact it has rear seat heaters which are in excellent working order.

Engine & Mechanical: The engine in this Packard is not the original but it is date code correct. The original engine was blown in the 60's. The 352 that is in the Packard now has been completely gone through, rebuilt, and done back to factory correct specifications. The entire engine bay has been redone back to factory correct spec's. It has the factory correct dual four barrel carburetor setup and the original chrome valve covers. Unfortunately, the engine bay was a bit dusty from sitting all winter but as you will see located below, it is in excellent shape. It does not smoke, leak, over heat, or burn an excess amount of oil, or make any odd noises. It fires up with ease and is in perfect working order. The radiator is also factory correct and is in excellent condition. The Twin Ultramatic transmission has also been completely gone through and is in excellent working order. Both the motor and transmission have just under one thousand miles on both since the restoration was completed in 2000. The power steering setup has also been rebuilt and is in excellent working order. No leaks or strange noises. The brake setup has also been completely redone and has all new brakes and brake lines from front to back. All done back to factory correct specifications. The fuel lines are also all new and in excellent shape. It also has a new fuel pump which is also in excellent condition. The Packard also has another option which I think is extremely neat which is the "Load Leveling" system. It has four torsion bars which adjust to the weight of the car. So if you are loaded down with people or just driving by yourself, the Packard will adjust and maintain the same position the entire time. It too has been completely gone through and is in excellent working order. The Packard also has brand new aluminized dual exhaust. From the front to back, it is all new.

     This is a once in a life time opportunity for any Classic Car enthusiast. So do not let it pass you by!
