Ladies and gentleman you are viewing an all matching 1955 Mercury Montclair Convertible! This car has been fully restored and is absolutely beautiful. The photos do not do this car even the slightest bit of justice.

Body: The body on the car is completely solid and rust free. The restoration on this car took place in California which is where this car has spent the majority of its life so as you can imagine it never had any kind of rust issues. All of the sheet metal on the car is original. It has been painted back to its original color which was the Harbor Green and as you can tell gives it quite a bit of pop. All of the chrome is brand new and the trim around the car is in excellent shape. The current owner received this car after it was restored and decided to get the Continental kit added which as you can tell really adds to the definition of the car.

Mechanical: The car still has its original 292 CI Motor which was rebuilt some time within the past three years. We believe that both the motor and transmission have less then 1,500 miles on them. The transmission shifts smoothly and the motor turns over every time. The motor also burns little to no oil and does not leak or smoke. The car does have a power top and power steering. Just within the past two weeks the owner put on new springs and bushings. The car also has a brand new set of tires on it.

Interior: The interior has been completely redone and matches the exterior paint very nicely. There are no rips, tears, or stains. The inside is in just as good of shape as the exterior of the vehicle. All of the gauges and electronics work as they should. All of the glass is in excellent shape. The windows roll up and down smoothly. The back window to the car is also new and in excellent shape. It easily zips in and out.

     This is a turn key vehicle that needs nothing. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to come take a look at it first hand. I will gladly listen to all reasonable offers and should the right one come along then I will in fact sell the car early as we do have it for sale "locally". I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need. So I try to always stay on top of emails and phone calls. We do have a clear title for this Mercury. Lastly, I do know where another 55 Mercury Convertible is located which is a project but it is a solid car. Black, white interior, complete. It too is available.
